At Dekalb Market Hall
Founded to introduce the comforting flavors of German and Austrian street food culture to New York City, Moritz was created by Berlin native Erkan Emre following the success of Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab at DeKalb Market Hall. Inspired by the bustling beer gardens, sausage stands, schnitzel houses, and pommes frites bars found throughout Germany and Austria, Moritz was developed to bring an elevated yet approachable interpretation of these beloved culinary traditions to Brooklyn’s diverse dining scene. Located within DeKalb Market Hall in Downtown Brooklyn, Moritz has become a destination for guests seeking authentic Central European flavors served with the speed, energy, and accessibility of modern fast-casual dining.
Built around the idea that traditional comfort food can be both authentic and contemporary, Moritz showcases many of the region’s most iconic dishes, including hand-cut twice-fried pommes frites, crispy schnitzel sandwiches and wraps, German bratwursts, Bavarian pretzels, and house-made sauces inspired by classic Berlin street food culture. Every dish is crafted using premium ingredients and traditional preparation techniques while embracing the convenience and vibrancy of New York’s fast-paced culinary landscape.
